A REMARKABLE INVESTIGATION INTO HISTORY, PROPHECY AND OUR FUTURE

1999

THE ULTIMATE MESSAGE
OF NOSTRADAMUS

Nostradamus’s Centuries, by virtue of their scope and precision, constitute the most exceptional prophetic monument in existence—a work unprecedented in its time.

THE AUTHOR'S STATEMENT

A Lifelong Fascination with Nostradamus

Four decades of research into the prophecies, historical connections, and enduring mystery of Nostradamus.

“For more than forty years, I have been fascinated by the work of Nostradamus and by his remarkable ability, as I interpret it, to project himself into the future.
His writings contain visions that I believe can be connected to historical figures and events. For example, I have explored passages that I interpret as referring to Napoleon, including the observation that he wore his hair short at a time when wigs were common.

The more deeply I studied The Centuries, the more convinced I became of the depth and significance of its texts. Throughout my research, I have continued to find meaning in passages that I believe have not yet been satisfactorily deciphered.
This book represents the culmination of decades of investigation into one of history’s most enduring mysteries.”

About The Author

Albert Cheneaux

Albert Cheneaux is an author and longtime researcher of the writings and prophecies of Nostradamus. For more than forty years, he has studied the Centuries, consulting dozens of works on the subject, primarily in French as well as English.

His research focuses on the language, symbolism, historical references, astrology, and semantic structure found throughout the writings of Michel de Nostredame. In 1999: The Final Message of Nostradamus, Cheneaux presents his analysis of more than 190 quatrains and sixains that he believes have not previously been satisfactorily deciphered.

Drawing on the work of historical and philological scholars—including Anatole Le Pelletier and Georges Dumézil—Cheneaux approaches the Centuries through close textual examination and historical comparison. His work explores Nostradamus’s references to major historical events, France and its monarchy, the papacy, Russia, Europe, and the future of the modern world.

For Cheneaux, the study of Nostradamus is not simply an examination of prophecy, but an investigation into one of history’s most enduring literary and intellectual mysteries. His decades-long engagement with the Centuries forms the foundation of this book and its interpretation of the messages he believes remain hidden within them.

About The Book

1999 Le message ultime de Nostradamus

For more than four centuries, the writings of Nostradamus have inspired debate, interpretation, and fascination. In 1999: The Ultimate Message of Nostradamus, Albert Cheneaux draws on more than forty years of research into the Centuries to examine the hidden meanings, historical references, and prophetic passages within Nostradamus’ work.

The book examines more than 190 quatrains and sixains, with particular attention to passages that the author believes have not yet been satisfactorily deciphered. It explores the significant dates of 1700, 1792, and 1999, as well as Nostradamus’ references to France, the papacy, Russia, Europe, the “Grand Monarch,” and the possibility of a future global conflict.

Drawing on historical research, philology, astrology, and close textual analysis, Cheneaux revisits the Centuries and asks what their enigmatic verses may reveal about the past, the present, and events yet to come.

Yes. While the book deals with complex historical, linguistic, astrological, and prophetic material, readers do not need to be specialists in Nostradamus to follow the author's analysis.

The book preserves the original wording of the quatrains and sixains being discussed and provides interpretations and historical context alongside them.

The book focuses on three dates that the author identifies as being clearly formulated in the Centuries: 1700, 1792, and 1999. It examines how these dates relate to historical events and to the author's interpretation of Nostradamus' writings.

The book also discusses Nostradamus' broader references to periods, durations, and future events rather than presenting the work simply as a calendar of exact predictions.

The book is the result of more than forty years of research into the Centuries. Albert Cheneaux states that he consulted dozens of works on Nostradamus, primarily in French as well as in English, and focuses his study on more than 190 quatrains and sixains that he considers insufficiently deciphered.

Rather than discussing Nostradamus only in general terms, the book combines textual analysis with historical references, philology, astrology, and the work of earlier scholars such as Anatole Le Pelletier and Georges Dumézil.

The book and its presentation are available through this website in English and French.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast
